About the Artist
Jackie’s art classes/workshops are designed to inspire students to relax and create openly from within. Her approach balances technical instruction with meditation, which enables the student to realize their unique gifts and abilities in a non-judgemental environment.
Presently living in Toronto, Ontario, Jackie offers mid-week and weekend workshops upon request. A minimum number of 8 people are required for each workshop. Weekly classes are not presently being offered.
Jackie’s experience as an artist, teacher, author and meditator is extensive, giving credibility to her classes. For a resume of her achievements, please follow this link.
Jackie’s technical skills and sensitivity enables her to capture both the likeness and essence of her subjects, which makes her portrait commissions and paintings very unique and compelling. Her subjects, whether it is of people, animals or landscapes, are illuminated and radiate forth from the canvas.

Throughout the years, she has had successful solo and group shows throughout Ontario and was a top finalist in an international portrait conference. Her original images in oil, pastel and watercolour can be found in art collections internationally and are also found in her book, Muskoka Boathouses, published by Boston Mills Press in 1991. This coffee table style book features forty of her original pastel paintings and her own written history of each subject.
If interested in either classes, workshops or a portrait commission please contact Jackie.
